A Saturday that starts at the farmers' market, runs into lunch with a friend and ends in the garden in the late light. You want to get dressed once, at eight in the morning, and not think about it again: nothing that clings when it gets warm, nothing that rides up when you sit, nothing that has you reaching for a cardigan.

Bettina is that dress. A soft cotton-linen blend that lets the air through, a seam just under the bust with the skirt falling away from it in an easy A-line, so it skims the middle instead of holding on to it. The sleeves come down past the elbow and cover the upper arm, and the two side-seam pockets are deep enough for your phone and your glasses, so the handbag can stay home.

Sizes S to 3XL, cut relaxed on purpose, so order your usual size. Put it on in the morning and you are the woman who looked comfortable and pulled together all day, without doing a thing about it.

Material: cotton-linen blend, mostly cotton, with a slight crinkle in the weave; it breathes, and the creases soften as you wear it
Cut: relaxed A-line with a seam just under the bust; the skirt is gathered into it and falls straight, no waist seam, no zipper, it goes on over the head
Length: 46.5 inches (S) to 48.4 inches (3XL) from the shoulder; it lands between mid-calf and the ankle depending on your height
Neckline: split V-neck with a small stand collar; it sits flat and stays put
Sleeves: three-quarter sleeves that come down past the elbow and cover the upper arm; wear them straight or roll them up once
Pockets: two pockets hidden in the side seams, deep enough for a phone and a pair of glasses
Care: machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, hang to dry; a warm iron takes out the travel creases
Colours: Sand, Cornflower Blue, Mint, Dusty Rose and Oyster

Runs true to size with a relaxed cut through the body. Order your usual size. Between sizes? Take the larger one. The bust measurement below is the dress laid flat and doubled, all the way around; it gives you about four inches of room over your own bust measurement, which is what lets it skim instead of pull. The length is measured from the shoulder to the hem.
